i feel kind of dumd ive had my mogul for a few days and ive gotten a lot of cool soft ware and alot of cool stuff from you guys and other sites. but for the life of me i cannot figure out how to change the sound that plays when i receive a text message. or how to put a different song to play when an alarm goes off. im pretty sure im just being stupid about this. your help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Help please

Have you tried
Start->Settings->Personal->Sounds & Notifications--Notifications Tab
Select
Messaging: New text message
or
Messaging: New Threaded SMS message (if using palm threaded SMS)

The text message ringers must be in the \windows folder and can be in .mp3 or .wav format. I've had issues with .mp3 so I use .wav

As far as the alarm ringer. When you are setting the alarm, click on the alarm bell icon. From there you can select the ringtone and vibrate, and repeat options. Again alarm ringers must be in the \windows folder and can be in .mp3 or .wav format.

thanks so much you two that really helped. the thing that pisses me off is i checked there like five times and just couldnt figure it out. i hate that. the only follow up question i have would be is there a way to set my actual music ringtones for those things.

Welcome to the site...There might be a easier way but the one I know is to convert them to a WAV file and just put them in your ( File explore - My device - Windows) windows folder and change them the same way you did above in post 2.
