After 30 days,the only way to add insurance,is after a "new activation". I worked around this problem by a simple esn swap. The insurance was added,and problem solved. At first,Assurion did not want to do it,but when I quoted from thier pamphlet,they said OK. It states that insurance can be added within 30 days of activation of a phone.Not a new line of service,not an upgrade,just within 30 days of activation. If possible,grab one from a Sprint Store so you have ammo if needed. DO THIS THROUGH ASSURION,NOT SPRINT!

My green phone button has the same problem.

Edit ( 3/14/08 ):

I went to the nearest Sprint Store the other day. It wasn't a 3rd party store, it was an actual Sprint Store, but they said they don't do repairs there. Was told to go to the CORPORATE REPAIR Sprint store. Ok ... so I went today. They told me it would take about 30 minutes, so I dropped it off and went next door to Fry's to pick up a new MicroSD card. When I got back to the store they said they would just swap it out with a new phone. I thought they were going to give me new chargers and everything but the Sprint Rep said they need to keep the box, and accessories, to ship back with the old phone. Oh well, brand new Mogul with no scratches. (I had dropped my old one a couple times). I did have insurance but that never seemed to be an issue because the Sprint Rep told me it was covered under warranty.

Is it just answering calls that the button doesn't work? Can you bring up the dialer by pressing the green button from the home screen? The button not answering calls is a mystery issue right now for many people, and seems to be related to having any kind of active data session going (even if you aren't aware of it) that prevents the phone from being answered. I had the issue through a number of roms, and it drove me to near madness. I am happy to report that the new rom fixes the issue for me, at least right now.

i had the same problem with my phone too. i also had the white dot in the lower left corner. spritn store changed out my phone. i do have the insurance but they never actually asked about it. i kinda figured they had my account info. ps i did get a brand new phone not a refurb. i think the upcoming news of the rom upgrade got a lot of the moguls moving.
