When you turn off your phone.....
does it go straight to voicemail if you or someone else calls it? I'm asking this because I remember for the longest time, when I would turn off my phone, calls would go directly to voicemail. Now, when the phone is off, it rings 4 times and goes to voicemail. But if I enable flight mode, which turns off the phones radio, it goes directly to voicemail. I have no idea what caused this so I would like to ask you guys cuz I'm curious. TIA!!

This happened on both the OEM ROM/Radio and now with the leaked ROM/Radio. But the strange thing is, when I first installed the leaked ROM/Radio, for a couple days, it would go directly to voicemail when turned off. And for the longest time on the OEM ROM, when turned off, it would go directly to voicemail when turned off.

Ohhh yeah, and I forgot to mention, when I select "yes" to power-down my device, it immediately turns off. Before, there would be a couple seconds where it would turn off the radio (and plays the "radio off" sound) and you would see the radios x'd out in the taskbar.

You're not turning the phone off. You're putting the PDA to sleep. |
Thanks for the reply but I do know when I'm putting the phone to sleep and when I'm turning it off. Please re-read my posts.

Interesting. I've not experienced this with 2.09, 2.17, or 3.16. When I power down, I always get the 5 second delay, the radio icon going to X, I hear half of the 'radio off' sound before it powers down. This behavior hasn't changed with any ROM.
Unfortunately, I'm 'on call' 24/7 so I can't answer your original query about the number of rings. |
