ya, i was going to say the same thing. i think (and don't quote me on this) that the phone would shut down before it got REALLY hot. i've read that some people have had there phones shut down because of overheating with no long term ill effects.

Sure, the card's fine in the MicroSD slot, but the slot's a significant distance away from the battery. This mod would have the cards damn-near riding the battery.

But OP, THAT IS AWESOME! I'm trying it now
I use WMWifiRouter pretty much every day and my mogul really heats up and I keep my spare microSD in my battery compartment as well and have had no adverse affects.

I manage to fit 2-3 cards in mine just by sliding them against the top of the battery flat side of the sd card up and they end up being completely flush and do not affect the back cover at all. I also use a Seidio case so they are extra protected anyway.

What I find more interesting then the placement of the cards are the actual pictures of the battery cover. It appears they made a running change and added more webbing to give the cover more rigidity.

This is a great idea. I just did it myself with a pocket knife. It works great.
