I've had PDAnet since my treo 700w (yeah, I bought one of those..).

It works fantastic! Absolutely worth the price IMO.

is there freeware that does the same thing as pdanet?

livejazz 02-09-2008 02:39 PM

I use USB Modem. It costs a little less and is a little less invasive. You can try WMWIFIRouter if you are using wireless lan. This is a free program (donations encouraged). If you appreciate this post, lysolflow, the favor you can return is using respectful language on the forum because my 13 year old daughter is a PPC Phone apprentice with her own mogul and frequents this forum. Also, I wouldn't judge an entire group of forum dwellers based on the inexperienced blurtings of a member with 3 posts and 2 months on the board. All of us that have been here a while are willing to help without the burden of the humility. Sorry that happened to you, but please check the experience of the poster. If one of these "Senior Members" has something to say, chances are it will be a good guideline for forum conduct. Some of these folks have been around a while and have a lot to offer and some have, already, been spanked by a moderator.

first off, i wanna give official thanks to the fellas that geve me some useful info on this topic... i am in college, so i could never get on limewire or access sites wit any suggestive content... but you guys that helped me out are cool as a fan... especially w eav044... that guy walked me thru everything step by step... if i knew when your birthday was, i'd buy you a 15 dollare gift certificate to mcdonalds...

once again, major props to whoeva put they two cents in and gave useful info... and if it wasn't useful, atleast you gave it a try... now... on to the wack people...

like this fella above me... bro, ama be honest wit you... if you are offended by your 13 year old daughter reading the word "hell", get ready for a rude awakening, cuz i'm pretty sure she knows a lil more than you think... think about it... she's 13, and on a site this complicated wit technology this advanced... i couldn't teach this to my 24 year old cousin...

i'm 18, and i'm astonished by what youger children know about technology and how aware they really are... i aint tryin to tell you how to raise yo kids, but you prolly need to worry less about tryint to shield everything from her, and worry more about teachin her to distinguish between right and wrong and knowing not to go wrong... if she sees something bad like the word "hell" , she should know that she shouldn't say it...

ok then, as i said before HOW do i set it up?
Dont just pop off with some derilickt answer like that, what im looking for is someone who can actually "help" not be a smart ass. if you have "no" help then "dont" reply, its a pretty basic forum rule and or rule of life

why do people gotta act like such dickheads on this site... people aint as stupid as you think... just cuz you THINK you know a lil bit about a damn phone dont mean you can try to embarrass people wit questions...

(feel like I'm talking to my 13 year old, now)....... a good rule to follow on a forum is to use language you would use when you speak to your grandmother (probably some of those reading, as well. Gee, mister. My college age daughter doesn't use any of this language, but regardless, this is a public site and I am just asking for a little common courtesy. I even offered some help for internet connection in my post, but I also offered a little advice to keep you in the good grace of the moderators. Can't you take it as friendly advice instead of an attack? No need to respond, but you may if you beleive you have to have the last word, sir.

Good God man if i knew what or how to remove a freakin registry extention do you think I would be wasting my time talking to you !!!!
Please dont help anymore because your NOT helping.
SOMEONE with at least half a brain (that excludes you baffles...obviously) must know how to do this because obviously Baffles is just trying to up his post numbers or is trying to pick a fight.

I just tried pdanet and it says that my wm version is not supported.
