Unable to install programs after 6.1
 

So, I just upgraded to 6.1 on my mogul. I'm unable to install any programs from cabs. Anyone else having this problem?

Any ideas?

Which Rom did you use? Installing from SD Card or Main memory?

Installing from SD card. I used nueROM v2.0 build 5039.

Any thoughts?

Nevermind...I installed 5040 and the problem is not resolved.

I have the same problem. Since upgrading my XV6800 to WM 6.5 it is impossible to install programs from 'exe' or 'cab'. Error says "program failed to install".
Have build 21903.5.0.92 with 47.30 MB and an 8GB card.
When trying to use Active Sync it says"Syncronization cannot be completed successfully" but it will let me explore the files and copy to the device. When copying files it says that there may be some problems with Active sync converting files. I can't get anything to install. I saw a reference as to how to fix this somewhere but I can't find it. The repair said that I had to uninstall Windows Mobile and make some registry changes. Does anyone know how to help me?

I guess the first question would be, where did you get your Rom? Did you build it yourself or?
