How do you disable GPS?

I know the GPS stays connected once you exit all GPS apps. Is there a way to disconnect it aside from soft-resetting?

It don't, gps don't stay connect once you exit gps app. That why tomtom doesn't work when you reopen without open up the port first. GPS close when the system go stand by.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but, it's been 15 mins since I closed all GPS apps and according to FieldTrial/GPS, it's still tracking me.

Trying putting your system into standby "Power off button". Wait 20 seconds, and turn it back on. If the GPS is still active then that means you have some program running in the background keeping it alive.

Correction, I'm wrong. The data last recorded stays in FieldTrial when all GPS apps are closed. I went for a drive around the block playing with the GPS, namely VisualGPSce. Thanks for the input guys, this thread can be closed! =)
