A Cry Out For Patients and Help

I have had this xv6800 since it came out in Nov 27th and have kept myself up to the minute with all the threads that have anything remotely to do with this phone. I have tried over and over again to follow the insruction from this site and over at xda. I feel embarrased to ask for help but I really do need it, this is going to be my 6th phone ive messed up trying to do the upgrade and they have all been replaced with new ones. I would love for someone to help me step by step on how to upgrade this phone to the 3.16. if not could create a all-in-one. Im not interested in the specifics of what comes along with it just as long as it is capable of operating the same.

Thank You in Advance,
Ralph Z.

to be honest.. I would not recommend continuing if you have had that many problems. You appear to be unfamiliar with the process and most of the recent updates are all completly unoffical (unofficial base rom with unoffcial wm 6.1 port) and not even released for verizon, just ported to it from other users.
I am not trying to be mean, just honest, and would not want you to do something bad to your current phone.

Try something easier first to learn the process, or if you still want additional assistance in proceding with upgrading, try the ppcgeeks chat.

If at first you don't succeed, give up.

You've messed up 5+ phones badly enough that they had to be replaced? Jee-zus.

In my YEARS of tinkering with phones, starting with the Motorola 'brick', through my current Titan, I have 'bricked' ONE phone... It was a Verizon T720, apparently it didn't like its NAM being touched,lol...

If you can get it into bootloader mode, then you can 'bring it back'.......

Like the others are saying, if you bricked 5 phones already, let someone else do it that knows what he/she is doing...

Download and flash the rom, no need to do spl, since you are already running it.

This link was easily found by going to the titan forum, and clicking on the top first sticky. (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=16806) I then read only the first post, which has this information only bout half way into the post

The old unlocker doesn't work with this rom, get the update here:

If you only want the essentials and to remain unlocked you might want to check out this post by shadowmite:

the second link links to post with link to rom =]

Flash and enjoy, and always search and read!

lol, no i amnot but was un familirized with the new fashion concept of flashing on the 6800. i read and read and bricked becaused of so many threades and there conflication with one another. i got mixed and lost in the information. and just tried doing it. unfortunetly this is my 6th and well once againg im in the same positon and i had help from someone that was knowledgable in this field and still managed to not have it go right. so it isnt just me but the steps on how to do it. you can either admit and just agree or be neglectful to the overwhelming information on just one simple thing as you guys state that it is. either way i still feel thankful for even being here for us.

Thank You!
