ok so im about to leave for tennesee and i call alltel and put unlimited data on my phone. first the lady doesent know what im talking about and puts access minutes on my phone. second lady knows exactly what im talking about and gives me the smart choice package (soposedly). so im fairly confedent ive got unlimited data, one month later bill comes in the mail and i see the shocking amount of $496 and my part of the bill is like $389 of it and my buddy at the alltel store says theres nothing he can do. maybe not such a valuble post but just saying if you change somthing on your bill make sure you actualy changed it.](*,)

there should be a way to escal it up the chain as you thought u were getting unlimited data, what are the notes from the rep u spk with on that last day?

Two things:
1. Whenever you call anywhere, get the agents name and id # and record the time of the call. 2. Squeeky wheels get lubed... keep calling and asking to talk to supervisors, someone will eventually take care of you. Worst case, a well worded letter (NOT email) works wonders. |
This happened with my with verizon. I went up the ladder and must have had some bad luck with reps b/c they would not budge on my bill. I had a regular cell phone (not a ppc) and it must have connected to data ALL DAY, and they said how do they know i wasnt on the internet all day. On a cell phone? for 24 hours straight? So even with that they wouldnt even up my plan and retro the bill. Maybe i shoulda tried a letter...oh well. live and learn

talked to my buddy at the alltel store again we dugdeeper and he sent in a petition (i think thats how you spell it) and he said it would take a week to find out if they accepted it. he said if they accept it would probobly cut down the bill "ALLOT". so i guess ill see what happens.
