Funny you should ask. I had the same problem and had people at two different stores say it was my email provider. It was not...you need to have sprint set up your outgoing email account. The third store called the tech support line and once they got it figured out it took about 20min to do. Now it works like a champ. He is at the IGH, MN sprint store....Kyle.

Try using a different server to send email and use Sprints.
smtp.sprintpcs.com You can set up your email account on the Sprint website and use your email address name (before @) and password as the outgoing server login. |

is this a new phone? i had the same problem with mine but i kept getting an error message whenever it tried to get a message over evdo.try going to your phone manager/services tab(set up all fields as neeted but well talk about the phone right now)/internet tap get settings and tap start in the next screen.then go to start screen/settings ap connections tab.select connections,tap advanced tab,tap select networks select set both fields to sprint.this is what worked for me.hope i helped
