HTC guy at CES said that it's public knowledge that the new firmware for GPS - Real GPS will be available Jan 28th - but he made no claims as to Sprint's stance on the release.

As far as sprintTV, untill all the kinks are worked out they will not add a problem program to the Mogul
Yeah truly, go read the touch(vugue) forum, sprint tv doesn't seem to be working too good on that platform, although it worked OK on my old Samsung A900 the few times I messed with it, GPS and REVa will be enough for now. I'm sure the issues in these 2 items alone will overload these forums for months to come. (If we get them both)

if this is available by htc on that day, won't it take time for sprint to integrate it?

The beta version of sprintTV that worked for everyone had n.o authetication, this is why it worked on an WM device no matter what carrier it was. it was the final release that added authetication that is a problem, even some devices that are allowed access still get unauthorized usere errors, (only 2 devices currently allowed are touch and new moto Q9C) but doth devices are having random problems.

Lets just hope the GPS and revA work, Sprint tv may be too much to hope for, with the higher speeds slingbox and/or orb should be even better

I want more threads like this. More arguing about the gps mode and the rev A speeds and what not. I need something to read and continuously refresh until this dang thing finally comes out....

rev a = more money for sprint. i know i will be adding a data plan to another line. i get sick of content filters at work (not for porn, but various forum sites are blocked as gaming) , now i will just plug my phone in and go around the filters.
