Has anyone tried opening their case and painting the lights internally? I was looking at a video of someone changing their case and thought it might be interesting to open the thing up and do the electrical tape or paint inside so that it would be held in place and not affect the phone aesthetically. The video didn't make it look to hard to open up. I have TEP and didn't find anywhere that it would void the warranty. Does anyone know how that would affect it?

Thanks.

I tried that, but it disables vibration, and I have to have vibration for my work.

Well, I did it. I took the phone apart and put electrical tape over the leds. It worked ok. You can still see some light due to bleeding around the edges of the tape, but it is significantly less then before. I am thinking I might go back in and use fingernail polish or something to get all the light. Does anyone have any ideas on what to use that wouldn't mess up the electronics?

You could try going to a model shop and try the paint that they use for the bodys on RC cars. Worth a shot?

This thread was originated in January, hence NueLED was not yet created, which is a pretty good guess as to why nobody mentioned it before. Read the dates of posts before you start dropping "WTF" bombs! Lol

Re: No More LED's Please

I just tried nueled and it works perfectly. My biggest problem with led's was the bluetooth one. When I had the Mogul mounted on the dashboard using GPS at night, the bluetooth led was blinding. Thanks!
