Are there really no way to truly close apps with the "OK" button?
I've searched and can't find a direct answer. I realize that there are countless apps that ensure application are really closed when you hit the x button. I also realize that many software programs allow you to make sure the OK button closes apps - but WM6 doesn't let you map the OK button.
Is there any software or settings that will let you truly close by hitting the OK button? |
I don't know about the ok button but there is a program called HTC X button task manager I recommend. you can close with the X and manage task from the home screen.

quickmenu is way better and it uses very little memory. I highly recommend it.

Dinar Sale Anyone?

I just bought HandySwitcher, which does exactly what you want. DinarSoft is an EXCELLENT company and their products are great! http://www.dinarsoft.com/ I do not work for them... I just like their products. =D> No offense to anyone, but I've read HTC Close 2.0 has a nasty little close all bug and I paid for HandySwitcher because it's nicer on the eyes and more functional. (IMHO) ;) |

look for smartkeys
small footprint and allows holding down the soft right key to close programs instead of having to hit the x button (which requires a stylus for some people with fat fingers). Doing it this way also retains use of OK hard buttom when you just want to minimize and not close it out. and its free |
I can't belive that no one has mentioned AE Button Plus.
This utility extends functionality of hardware keys on Windows Mobile devices. It allows you to: * intercept almost any standard button: application buttons, WM5 SoftKeys, Volume slider, Action and even Red/Green phone buttons * distinguish up to 4 different keypress events on each button grabbed (single, double, triple and "long" keypresses). * remap each of the keypress events to "virtual" application button or assign them directly to one of the wide set of built-in actions. |
