Start > Settings > Connections > USB ... turn off Advanced Networking and see if that helps.

starting from where? active sync or pc start button, no such order on pc ( Start > Settings > Connections > USB) and there is no start in AS. can you go into your AS and see exactly what it is

got to go for an hour or so, I hope you have a good answer for me and thanks for the help.

The phone actually connects it just dosent syncronize?

I had a problem with the same symptoms, except my uninstall programs list on the phone turned blank. The phone showed connected and I could even browse the files on the phone from the computer. I was afraid to do a hard reset because I thought i might then still be unable to sync my data back if it didn't work. I tried everything but eventually did the hard reset. It worked and I was able to sync everything back. have you tried that yet?

Tregrad 12-06-2007 08:20 PM

no not yet, like you I was waiting as a last resort for that but maybe that would be best I got files everywhere and now that im sorta good at this thing it might be a good idea to do a hard reset and start over ](*,)

GoodThings2Life 12-06-2007 08:22 PM

Sounds like the best course of action... but if you are able, you can always "Explore" the phone and backup any of the files before you do, and you can use PPCPimBackup for Contacts, etc.

great how do i do a hard reset and do you have a program that will back up for me I cant do it thru AS. I have already put just about all my files on my SD card (6 gig) so i got lots o room. unless thats the best way to do it, can i hard reset with my card OUT of the phone or does it have to be in it? and if its in it will everything be wiped off it?

Ill check back after the game and thanks for teh help again

try spb backup as a back up program. As for hard resetting, press both soft buttons [next to the "send" and "end" buttons] and at the same time, insert your stylus into the reset hole; a prompt should show up on the screen asking you to confirm by pressing "R", etc.

is there an order in wich to hit the keys because its not even hard resetting ( I think) It reboots with htc home plugin on it and everything else?

Tregrad 12-07-2007 02:48 AM
