Helmi's WM6 is not 100% WM6. Many of the drivers and support files are still WM5 which explains why VC works. I'm not sure if this is true but I read that MS is putting the blame for the issue on the way that HTC implemented the BT driver.

The short term fix is to disable the verification option. In the VC control panel applet highlight phone and then select options. Deselect confirm when calling by name.
It works fine for me. So far it has never misdialed.

I had the exact same problems with my XV6700 until I started using the WM6 Kitchens and ROMs ...all my VC problems went away and it worked very well. I did use the hack to slow the speach down (or up if you wanted) which made it very easy to understand.

With the xv6800 I am stuck back with the same problem. One of the things I do to get around the verification is to give the "SHOW" command instead of the "CALL" command. This way I can visually verify the contact I'm going to call. I say "SHOW John Smith" and the John Smith contact comes onto the screen with all the choices for phones. Then I simply select (by pressing or scrolling down to the wanted phone) and there you go. It is a little bit longer but I hate calling people I didn't mean to call!

I guess we have to wait for some new kitchens or ROMs (Verizon!!)

MSVC confirmation works in all of the 3.16 ROMs. :) I think the upgrade was worth it just for that. :headbang:
