storage card blues

I removed my storage card because I was having a few problems with files missing from uninstall programs and did a soft reset. Now some of my programs on the storage card are not working and I looked in file manager and see that "Stoaragecard" is empty and there is an entry for Storagecard2 where all my data is. I deleted Storagecard and tried renaming storagecard2 to storagecard but it keeps reverting to storagecard2 after the rename process. This and some other activesync problems are causing me to pull out what little hair I have left.
