I'm seriously considering asking Sprint for a refund since it doesn't do GPS and BT as advertised when I bought it. Would then just use my Razr2 until the Mogul is fixed, and then either buy another one or whatever the flavor of the day is at that time.

Am really PO'd enough about this to consider paying my termination fee and leaving Sprint if they won't refund it. (Have been a $150/month customer for 7 years, and just added a 3rd line and bought a Razr2 earlier today before I saw the news - the Razr may go back tomorrow)

Verizon is NOT better than Sprint ... their data plans suck. They claim to sell "unlimited" but in fact they'll terminate you if you go over a certain limit. Etc., etc.

This whole episode sucks but ... Sprint has the better deal overall, and Verizon customer service is even worse.

Sprint has the best data/voice plans in terms of bang for the buck. Their PDA phone support really lacks, to say the least. One hopes they're learning...

I'm wondering if this announcement is tacit acknowledgement by Sprint that the Titan hardware platform has a fundamental flaw and just can't reliably support BT (the fact that some users' Titans work and some don't supports this theory, IMO). I wonder if they're just stalling and trying to buy time.

Does anyone notice that all these problems are on ALL networks and only really have to do with PDA phones???

I mean I am upset too because I want the phone to be better, but PDA/WM phones are still in progress as far as I am concerned and I just can't let myself get too upset. I mean for Christ's sake we are carrying MINI friggin computers in our pockets and all we can do is complain.

Oh well, just calm down. IMO if you can't handle bugs and development stages and stuff, wait a while and then get into the game. I remember my first laptop about 5 years ago from HP and all the problems I ran into... CHILLLLLLLL!!!

I guess I'm lucky. I updated the rom to 2.16, soft reset before the "customization", and I haven't had one problem. I don't have to reset the phone, unless I've done something that requires it, and everything else works just the way it should. I feel bad for those of you that are having such a rough time with your moguls, but mine is working just fine.

[soapbox]I look forward to reading the thread in the Touch/Vogue forum when all of you that jumped ship to it learn that it's own set of problems.

Considering that we now have the ability to make custom roms and we have a full rom dump of the Vogue already, I don't see why so many are ready to just leave Sprint or jump to another phone. EVERY PPC phone will have issues. We are lucky that Sprint/HTC has even given us updates so quickly on this phone. The Sprint 700wx, for example, took forever to get a single update.

We have a phone that is fully customizable on the software side via the customized ROMs out there. The only reason I see to leave the Mogul is if it's found out that there is a truly fundamental hardware flaw. Other than the low amount of RAM, no one has discovered an actual hardware problem to my knowledge.

If you want flawless bluetooth, go to a non PPC phone as that's your best shot. Want full GPS, get a standalone GPS unit or a bluetooth receiver or go to AT&T and get a Tilt.

There is no PPC device out there that is perfect. Thanks to the hard work of many the 6700 has gotten pretty damn good but it took time and effort. The Mogul is still relatively new and needs time and effort just like the 6700 did.[/soapbox]

True-My 6700 is still running great due to the mods everyone on this site has worked so hard creating. Thanks again, Helmi_C, Kirvin, Colonel, and all.

Oh Please - Can you little girls whine any more?

Bitch when they release a ROM that blows, bitch when a Speculated release date comes and goes, and then bitch when HTC actually says "Hey - last ROM sucked, we are going to fix it in early 08".

Don't get me wrong, I would like my phone to work correctly, but just reading the first page of this thread made me nauseous.
