End Call button disconnects EVDO?

Is this typical, or was it something I installed that causes this? I used to use the End Call key to return to the Today screen but recently I noticed it also disconnects my EVDO connection. I am using WM5, and the last thing I installed was phoneAlarm. Any ideas?

You set this under hold button in settings. If you hold the end call it will have four option i think and one of them is to close data connection. Check you settings and you should see the hold button icon.

Edit: It is actually called Long Press Key

Where do you find this setting? I don't have an option to change the End Call button (red phone) anywhere. I was actually wondering if it's always been like this, since I use the End Call key to revert to Today screen a lot, but it seems I can no longer do that since it will also disconnect my EVDO connection (it didn't used to do that).
