E911-gps
OK, before people go crazy on me and tell me you can't get GPS on the mogul, I know that, I got it. Turn by turn directions won't happen.
What I want to know is if there is any way for applications to get access to the E911 location in the phone.
If anybody has used Mobile GMaps (NOT Google Maps) on java based Sprint phones (like the RAZR), there is a way to unlock the programs access to the E911 location. Its not very fast, but you can find out exactly where you are. That can be very useful if the man with the horn-rimmed glasses finds you.
To unlock it, you just had to register your ESN to the Sprint Developer network, and it would give programs access to different parts of the phone, including the GPS/E911 location.
That being said, I would really like to see the HTC bust out a CDMA version of the Kaiser/TyTn II. I'd be all over that. Drool.
