TC1 has what you're trying to do. (post #7 & 10)

Exactly, but I didn't want to ask my question about the ## codes in that thread for fear it would get lost because of the thread title.

Anyway, it looks like I got the same results on my Alltel phone as he did on his Sprint phone. I was just trying to narrow down whether the inability to do this was a Sprint issue or an HTC issue.

At this point, I'm abandoning it (at least for the time being). Sorry, Pibe38, for YAGPST (yet another GPS thread). This just looked way more promising than any of the other 999999 ideas on how to make it work, and I figured it was worth spending a half hour on.

Let me rephrase... when you do this on your Sprint phone, what is the title at the top of the screen? That's what I am trying to track down. Once I know what screen I'm looking for, I should be able to figure out how to get to it.

Keep in mind that this is a native Allltel 6800... not a Sprint that's been flashed with the Alltel ROM.

##3424# is a completely different screen altogether.

DMR v1.65

Port
Handle
TX
RX

Nothing to do with CERT though.

Answerman,

I already spent 3 solid days trying to figure out what you are now attempting. WM6 phones do not install/unlock certs the same way pure Java and Brew phones do. I've even done a developer's unlock of my phone from Sprint's Developer Network website. There's been commercial application developers trying to write code against the Sprint (supposed) implementation of the Qualcomm GPS API that have had no success. Sprint themselves don't even have any LBS applications for the phone yet.

If you have any different ideas I'd love to hear about them. But at this point I'm 90% sure we're going to get nowhere without Sprint actually adding something to the phones.
