you have the threaded sms installed?
i do and it seems like i always get 2 txts when someone txts me. 1 is a ghost and the other is the txt. weird. also another thing i noticed when i transferred mp3s to my sd card and went to play there was 2 of each but when i check on the card through the card reader on my pc its only one of each. weird. those are the breaks when your using custom roms though always expect bugs here and there. i like it so far though i was thinking about going to wm5 on my mogul to test it bc my treo wx def seemed faster than my mogul. plus my mogul has a quarter of the programs my treo did. gotta read up on it 1st though.. sorry i couldnt answer your ? btw |

I'm afraid this will not answer your question either, but I too have the "phantom" text message indicator. I am also using the Threaded SMS cab...it did just start, however, and I've had the cab installed for a few days.
Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge can assist? |

I have seen this when I receive texts while my mogul is powering on. I use the threaded SMS and I have had to remove the program completely, check the text, and then reinstall. Very frustrating.

it's not a phantom text. i figured this out the other day. what happened is there was a failed send of a text. the mogul saves it in the drafts folder as unread. the problem is, you cannot access it with threaded SMS because it's treated as if it were really sent by threaded SMS.
if you remember what message was not sent, you can delete it by highlighting it using your scroll wheel on the side, opening up that single message and deleting it. mine cured itself when i installed PocketCM that supports SMS. I deleted all the unsent texts and the problem was forever gone. |

That file fixed it - thanks a bunch andason. I did go in a delete everything in my text account, and after that, my home screen was free of the false notification, and now my mogul isn't blinking anymore - I use LED Killer 3.
I also noticed that there were 2 of every song, odd - so I just use shuffle now and never notice the duplications. I appreciate the responses. Maybe I can assist with your issues one day!. |

Hmmm. I ended up removing the threaded SMS completely. My MMS then worked fine, and the "phantom" text message ended up being from one of my friends who has an old Sanyo from around the time electricity was invented.
At any rate, I'll try that file andason suggested and reinstall the SMS...mainly because I miss it already. |
