Also one other question - the tilt has an issue with reassigning some of the hard buttons - how many hard buttons does it have and can you reassign them?

Thank

There's a total of ONE button on this device (shutter button), and yes, it can be reassigned.. (for single and double tab..)

Tethering works great with both USB and bluetooth with the built in internet sharing. I assume I will not get charged extra since I never got charged extra with my Mogul...

Good info - I appreciate.

In regards to slingbox -

I'm sad to say it's the same as on the Mogul.. Decent, but not as good as on the ppc-6700.. Of course having more memory means that I don't repeatedly get the 'full screen viewing may be less then optimal' message that the mogul gave...

SO I take it its kinda like the iPhone where it just senses which direction your holding. Tethering works, so thats good. That seems to be where I get the most of my usage.

I tried PCMKeyboard today, which it seems like its a little bit easier to touch the right letter, I found myself VERY annoyed that I had to hit 3 buttons just to get a period. Since most my text needs on the phone revolve around the web, having a period on the first screen of keys is almost a must. I might just stick with the built in keyboard, or use Letter Recognizer since thats almost like writing on my old palm PDA.

wow on the pcm keyboard its pretty easy to type out a text o_O not a single mistake and i typed faster than the screen would show up (stupid mogul ram). Might just have to get myself a touchhh

I just received the official "We'll replace your Mogul with ANY phone of your choice" e-mail...

For those of you using PCMKeyboard, an alternative (which some might find easier to use) is TouchPal (http://www.cootek.com/). I originally used PCM when it came out, but the inset screen of the Mogul caused some grief....

I've been using the TouchPal keyboard instead of the hardward keyboard in order to prep myself to move to the Touch - SMS, web, and even VNC/RDP are still usable. For remote apps (VNC/RDP) just make sure that your textbox is near the top of the screen so you can see what you're typing.

I just hope the Bluetooth problem (primarily the low quality audio that is reported by the other end) isn't present, or I will have to rethink my choice of phone.

1) Bluetooth. I was really tired of waiting for it to work right
2) memory. That device really needed another 32/64mb memory to start with..

The touch is great with both of these...

Custom ROMS are great for both of the these reasons as well.

The iphone auto-rotates when it's held horizontally. The Touch doesn't do this... but apps such as sprint TV automatically rotate it.. (In slingbox you have to click the rotate button then all is well..)

In pcmkeyboard - hover your mouse over the 123#? button for a split second, then move over to the punctuation key you want.. there's also alternative skins in his forums to add another row w/ punctuation keys.. (you can also hover press down on the enter key for a split second to get cut/paste/copy - pretty nifty..)

Yep - but they won't give the device 64mb more memory or make it smaller ;)
