Fastest EVDO! Who has it? You?

Hey you guys every once in a while I like to see how fast my Sprint EVDO coverage is. I just did it right now and got 711 kbit/sec.

Post your speed!

Website you did the test at!

City and state!

Phone / Provider!

Here is mine...

711 kbit/sec
dslreports.com/mspeed
Ontario, California (USA)
Mogul / sprint

WHATS YOURS??

Tenny 11-02-2007 07:06 PM

I've seen a few past 2mbits/sc... but that was using opera mini and I question it... fastest in ie is about 1.2mbits... mostly in sunnyvale

afx 11-02-2007 07:09 PM

I got 608. How fast is REV a supposed to be? and when is it going to be released?

ruskiyab 11-02-2007 07:17 PM

I got 2.5mbit download with 101kbit upload a few times out here in St. Louis, MO

ls3mach 11-02-2007 07:42 PM

Shouldn't we all be using the same site? I use 2wire.com. Typically get 600Kb. I have gotten around 980Kb though.

aznmode 11-02-2007 07:55 PM

I once got 10xxkbps on dslreport. I'm averaging about 800kb. San Jose California

If that is reliable data, then you hit the theoretical limit of EVDO Rev 0.

I use the text.dslreports.com/mspeed 1MB test and get at least 500-600k during the day/peak times. And 1000+ at night. It used to be 200k or so but ever since the Alltel ROM upgrade it works like it is supposed to. Maybe it has something to do with Alltel providing the native EVDO coverage here?

jimmiekain 11-06-2007 01:06 AM

yesterday after church I was in Pomona CA, 91761 and got 810k

These are very similiar results that I saw when I ran DCDs Clean 3.16 & Radio. I just didn't have a consistent connection or performance. Damn it.

I am ususally around 998 down in nyc. I use speedtest.net. It's a great website for this endeavor.

Roninllc 01-31-2008 01:45 AM

I got this with the new 3.16(test)ROM using the WMWiFiRouter app to connect to my laptop. I bounced between 2 to 3 bars of signal during the test. I guess this and the GPS made it worth the hassle.

Using the phone on dslreports.com I get about 450-600 kbps down, using a pc I get 1200-1280 kbps down and 480-500 kbps up. On my HTC KAISER on AT&T I get 950-1150 kbps down on the phone from dslreports.com and on the PC I get 2450-2600 kbps down and 340-390 kbps up. Both tests were run in the middle of the night with 4 of 5 bars on sprint and 5 of 5 on AT&T. The Kaiser also seems to run quicker as its from HTC, not AT&T. The sprint is running the beta ROM 3.16

1603k
rev a. update
titan, sprint leaked rom
chicago (NW suburbs)

but, i can't seem to run the test again through opera mini, says to fast/unstable, do i need to clear some cache from opera? so many of these tests seem so off, like running from ie vs opera..

can anyone recommend good websites for testing from the phone (non flash) for accurate results?
