Mogul power button issues

The power button on the side never shutdown my phone completely it only puts it in sleep mode. I had no problem at all for several months shutting down my phone with the powerbutton until this issue occur. I believed somebody a while back had a problem like this in another forum and they was able to solved this issue (I cant remember which forum). I was wondering if there is a possible cab or someting I can used to be able to turn off my phone when I need to??

thanks in advance

Re: Mogul power button issues

Sorry, this won't be much help but I was having the same problem. It went away after I flashed the phone back to stock.

Something I think may have been causing it was te SPB mobile shell I had installd.

any chance you're running that too?

Press and hold for 4+ seconds and it should come up with a shutdown message. If a continuous hold isn't working, you might have a hardware issue.
If you *must* have the phone off, temp workaround would be to pull the battery and put it back in.
