Who uses gmail on their Mogul?

I set up my gmail account, which is very easy in the Mogul.

However when I get an email and read it, it displays as unread on my gmail account when accessed from my PC.
I set up gmail to archive all the accessed mail by pop3. How do I make the email read or archived?

you're going to have to use IMAP if you want to have it sync with the gmail servers. gmail just added that feature, so you're in luck! lots of accounts already have the IMAP setting, but some still don't.....like mine. :(

hope that helps.

I don't POP or IMAP. I have my homepage on Opera set to the Google page that lists mobile software and just read my mail online.

That way I don't have to worry about synching anything.

I've just started using flexmail because of gmails new imap:

http://mail.google.com/mail/help/int..._whatsnew.html

It supports IMAP IDLE (which means it can "push") and my emails pop up almost instantly on my mogul.

I just use mail2web for direct push...

Ok, in order to make imap work with your Gmail account, you have to log on to your gmail account to check if it's been upgraded with IMAP. Log on and go to settings, then to the pop tab. If you see IMAP in the options (it should already be selected) then you already have it. If you don't, then log onto your gmail address another time to check.

If you have it, then here is a link with the settings:

https://mail.google.com/support/bin/...n&answer=75726

Now, delete your Gmail account from your phone. Then create a new account. Do not select Gmail as account type at the beginning of the setup. Just an email account. If you select Gmail you will not get the IMAP option.

Use the settings at the link I provided and you'll be good to go.

I'm using Gmail with POP3, and it works fine.
