Where can I find the original (2.08.651.4) ROM?
 

I know this has been asked before but it's buried in other threads so I figured I'd start a new one for it. Does anyone have (or know where to get) the 2.08.651.4 ROM? I've called HTC and Sprint and they were useless (duh) and I've come up empty scouring the web (even checked a download archive at http://www.utstarcom.com/pcd/downloads/).

I had that ROM on my phone and I have a good Sprite backup from right before I upgraded to the crappy new ROM. Obviously, I want to perform a restore but I want to restore it to a phone that has the same ROM as the backup.

Anyone?

The 2.09 sprint rom was the only official "upgrade" package released so there won't be a place on their site to download the 2.08. The 2.09 with the KB fix cab should be adequate though.

The reason I want 2.08 is because that's what I had before I upgraded to 2.16 and I have a good Sprite backup of my Mogul at 2.08. I know I could flash back to 2.09 but I can't do a restore. I really don't feel like installing everything from scratch again since I just did it to go from 2.08 to 2.16 and I'll probably have to do it again in the near future(?) if they release another ROM to fix the problems with 2.16. I even tried to swap my phone out at a Sprint store but they didn't have any Moguls with 2.08.

If someone had a Mogul that still had 2.08 on it, would there be a way to extract the ROM files from it and package it up into an executable or is that impossible? I'm pretty desperate at this point so I'm grasping for straws but I find it hard to believe that there's no way to get my phone back to 2.08. I was hoping there was some kind of master reset you could do that would take your phone back to its original state even if you had upgraded the ROM already, but I haven't heard of anything like that.

i have my original 2.08 rom dump if anyone wants it. it is completely stock with NOTHING on it. let me know if i can help.

Hey Psy, the Rom update restore feature from Sprite works fine from 2.08 to 2.09. At least it worked fine for me.

Is this something that I could use to flash my Mogul back to 2.08 or does it need to be packaged into an executable?

On another note, I posted a message over at TC about a problem I'm having with Treo Alert on my Mogul. If you get a chance, can you please check it out?

Are you sure? The reason I ask is because I tried to run a Sprite restore from 2.08 to 2.16 and it didn't really work right. After the restore, the radio version was listed as 1.47, the ROM was listed as 2.08.651.4 amd the ROM date was 9/3/07. That's all mixed up.
