Problem connecting to Exchange after ROM upgrade

Ok so I have installed the new Sprint ROM upgrade and now for some stupid reason I can't connect to my exchange server? Now when it tries to connect it just says Synchronizing and doesn't do anything. No error message, doesn't stop, just says synchronizing and doesn't move.

So I have two questions:

I have a backup before the ROM upgrade where it worked, is there anyway to restore just the files that made activesync work before? If there is which files are they and what directories are they in?

If there isn't a way to do my first question does anyone know what I've messed up that would be causing this problem?
