D-Pad Quits Working

I just upgraded to 2.16 Rom for Sprint. For some reason my d-pad will just quick working and require a soft reset in order to get it to work again. At first I thought it was software conflicting with it so I did a Hard Reset and didn't install any software except the sprint customizations. Did it again!

Anyone else having this problem?

Turn off your Bluetooth, lock and power off your phone and then unlock it - Dpad works again! Nice huh? They can't get anything right.

Unbelievable! Thanks for the help. I am really tempted to back to the last version. I didn't have any BT problems and just upgraded for something new.

No issues with mine on the new ROM. I do have my center dpad remapped using AE Button Plus so maybe that's why mine works.

I don't have this problem, so it's obviously a third party software issue.

All I have is:
- Treo Alert 8.2
- X-Button 2.0
- Total Commander
- Google Maps

I let the Sprint customizations run, and I have bluetooth on.

Mine did this upon first reboot with the new ROM. Therefore, it obviously does not have to do with 3rd party apps. My D-Pad worked properly for about half a day after doing a number of soft resets, but the defaulted to its non-operative behavior. Give yours time, you'll see the bug soon enough, provided that your BT stack is on and, possibly, being used from time to time.

So we went from craptastic BT with the old ROM to mediocre BT that now breaks the rest of the phone with the new ROM? I'm having trouble figuring out how our BT is now "fixed" according to HTC and Sprint.

I had the same problem running colonels roms. I thought I pinned it to push email from exchange but could not find the issue. I would use the phone, turn it off manually and then it would not turn back on without a soft reset. Or I would leave the phone on and it would turn off after a minute. I would then five or so minutes later try to turn it back on and it would not turn on. W.E.A.K... I wish I still had my 6700...

it isn't a push issue. i've had my phone synched with my exchange 2k3 sp2 server all night and this morning and have yet to experience the dpad bug. the only issue i had with the new rom was getting my phone to initially sync with the exchange server. i had to put the settings in and sync it over activesync on my pc. seems to work now though.

i also have not had any freezes on my phone yet but i'll give that time

only thing i can guess is it is all bluetooth related as i don't use bluetooth

Re: Center navigation broken after rom update?

I having trouble with my Center Navigation Button (5-way navigation button). When in profile mode the button is not working but in landscape (slide out for keyboard) it works fine.

DCD ROM 3.2.5
RADIO 3.42.50

What could be the problem, does anyone have this problem, a simple YES or NO would help???
