How to Disable Initial Password Screen
I was stupid enough that when I hardware reset the phone, the new WM6 OS asked if I wanted to lock the phone down everytime with a password, I said yes. Now everytime it asks me that password when I turn on the screen to do something, that is so annoying!!
I went through the settings menu but I don't see anywhere to disable it. Would somebody for the love of mike shed some light on this subject?! Yes I'm a moronic noob. Thanks in advance. |
Start -> Settings -> Lock (looks like a key, and it's on the "personal" tab) From there just uncheck the "prompt if device unused for" checkbox

Does anyone know of a registry hack to disable this functionality entirely?

why do you need to do this via the registry rather than the method i stated? also just not entering a password during initial setup after a hard reset will disable it.
