I haven't posted much, but I've been keeping up for the past few weeks having a new (to me) 6800, and dcd, thanks so much for your efforts. Very impressive work, and its much appreciated.

I'm noticing the notification bug with appointment reminders changing the sound profile, and this is a big bummer from the HTC home plugin stuff. I wasn't clear from the earlier threads, on what exactly the issue is there? Or if there's a fix coming? I don't know if you do anything special w/ the HTC home plugins when they're integrated, or if you just take whatever's out there?

Also for wlin1998, you can use the customizer. Already added a couple of cities and downloaded the Stardock weather icons.

dcd, have you considered using the HTC 2.x home plug? Earlier versions of the 1.x home plug had the notification bug as well as issues with the profiles changing.

I believe the versions at the link below are 2.x and there is even an OEM package.

Well, the notification issue can be reproduced by:
- Set the profile to Silent
- Set a calendar appointment and set it to remind x minutes before (set the event 10 minutes ahead, and then remind 5 before, for example)
- When the event reminder comes up, the system is set back to sound + vibrate notify, though the HTC plugin still shows silent.

stroths, you mention this is fixed in later versions? I hadn't found that info yet...

EDIT: well, now it's not doing it consistently. Sometimes it will change the sound setting AND make noise, sometimes it will just change the sound setting

When the home plug was first ripped from the Kaiser, the issue was found. The notification bug actually has to do with tons useless notifications it added to your notification queue. The bug you are referring to was actually a feature of the 1.x plugins to make the sounds go silent during an appointment on your calendar and then go back to normal afterwards. However, it never worked quite right so they hacked that feature out of later 1.x versions as well as the 2.x versions.

to be honest, i hate htc home and i dont use it, its for you guys. i first had 2.0 in the rom, and i decided that 1.5 seemed to use less memory. if any htc home experts could tell me the most streamlined and bug free version, ill include it. do you find the version at your link to be more of a hog at all?

also on wmwifirouter. i tried it and its bad ass! but its being updated so frequently right now i think it would not be a good time to include it in the rom. its a very simple .exe to copy over. eventually, i may include it in the custom rom. lets see how the updates come for a while ( and ive posted my wish list for them )

I use the version that the HTC Home Customizer installs for you if you let it. I believe its pulling it from that site I linked, but I'm not 100% sure on that. It is a 2.x version, but I'm not sure how the memory usage is compared to the 1.x versions.
