No one has been banned and no one is going to be banned from here based on that situation. Though he probably should have phrased it differently, ehanahan was calling out DCD for being rude in colonel's ROM thread. It was DCD who then went off the deep end and posted a profane tirade.

If anything maybe they should both apologize to each other (as should DCD for starting crap in colonel's thread in the first place), but it's beyond lame to enforce something like that. Apologies should be genuine and if someone is truly sorry then they will apologize. If not, then they won't. Plus, from the looks of things, ehanahan is hardly the sole reason for DCD leaving.

Make no mistake--DCD's efforts are appreciated, but many other people put in just as much time at this site and manage to ignore the naysayers or respond to them without using every curse word in the book. Users need to work out their issues via PM and/or agree to disagree without resorting to profanity.

Sounds like DCD had a lot of fans here. Either he can return if he wants to or keep posting his ROMs at xda. It's his choice. But vicious attacks of other users aren't going to be tolerated--and that goes for EVERYBODY.

It's just that even if this thread is closed, Pandora's Box has been opened and this could spell the beginnings of a PPCGeeks/xda-developers beef like we saw with 2Pac and Biggie back in the 90s.

Do any of you want to see that happen?

Let's not blow this out of proportion. There was an argument and someone left the site (I guess). It happens and there's plenty of blame to go around. No one was banned and if the parties involved want to fix things they will, regardless of what you, me or anyone else wants.

If they don't, we will all soldier on somehow. :)

First, thanks for for all contribution work that DCD did to the community but DCD was the one out of line first, no sorry is needed. DCD made a great contribution but had a very bad personality. Moderator and admistrator, please close this thread since this is lead to no where.
