6800 Kitchen Info?

What exactly is a Kitchen? I obviously know what a kitchen is in terms of houses but this being my first entry into the WM software I don't know what a kitchen does for a PPC?
What is the difference between a kitchen and Colonel's ROM, or any other custom ROM?

A kitchen, if I'm not mistaken, is a sort of kit for CREATING a truly custom ROM. It's almost like an SDK. The custom ROMs are, generally, the result of a kitchen. Colonel's ROM is, if I'm not mistaken, much less customized than one created with a kitchen could be.

Does anyone know when a kitchen will be out for the Mogul?

What does SDK stand for and do?

Software Development Kit. When a company makes hardware, or an operating system, they create an SDK which includes full documentation of all the functionality of the system, commands, codes, protocols, etc., and sometimes some sample code to help with common situations and software tools to help in the programming process.
