The smartass thing, I have no clue, nothing changed in the smartass code. I run the same kernels as you guys do, and I'm not having that issue at all. The only thing I can guess is that something is either changing the cpufreq values, or something is changing the smartass values, both can be controlled via sysfs.

Will dig more. I am sure it's not your kernel, if you haven't changed any of the smartass code...

Re: [Kernel] Ziggy471 MECHA BETA Kernel UPDATED 25 Apr 11

Man Ziggy i love these kernels! Performance and battery life! I was able to hack down the voltages on these bad boys without any performance loss. here are my voltages on the BFS 4/25 kernel(also used the same voltages on the 4/24 .39 kernel)

122880 750
184320 750
192000 750
245760 800
368640 800
768000 900
806400 925
883200 925
960000 950
1036800 975
1113600 1000
1190400 1025
1267200 1050
1344000 1100
1420800 1250

Keep up the awesome work! I dont think I'll ever run another kernel other than yours!

Glad your liking them. I'll play with those values and maybe do an init script for others to test them, I'd rather not put them in, unless all have the same results.

I've tracked down the issues I was having with the last release too, I'll be releasing another set this weekend for everyone to play with.

Sweet. Can't wait.

I've had many reboots getting to those levels and that is the absolute lowest i can go from 1344000 on down. I kept the voltages up on anything higher as i don't normally run those frequencies but i'm sure they can be dropped as well

edit: you may be able to edit voltages between 245760 and 883200 I didn't waste too much time testing these slots because i don't use them

Since my normal bumper isn't around, bump for an update on the OP for a new release.

Downloading now, Thanks Ziggy.

What'd you think of the new season opener? Pretty good imo, haven't seen the follow up episode yet though.

Re: [Kernel] Ziggy471 MECHA BETA Kernel UPDATED 1 May 11

running the 5/1 BFS kernel and everything seems to be working great. Glad you reverted back to the old tree as it seemed to give me better battery life. using the voltages i posted above but may try to even drop them down a little more and see what happens. Keep up the good work sir!

Re: [Kernel] Ziggy471 MECHA BETA Kernel UPDATED 1 May 11

Glad you all like them.

I just moved over to the gnu compiler instead of the android ndk compiler, and re-compiled the kernels, they're smaller, but so far I can't see any great differences, if you guys want, I'll upload them for you to play with.
