Sending picture mail glitch?

Hello,

I recently purchased the HTC Snap (sprint) and am having one issue. When I take a picture, a little d-pad appears on the screen. The left choice is to send this picture via mms. Upon selecting this, the picture mail window opens. Now here is the problem. At the top is the to: field, and if I start to type in this field it shows me the special characters and not the letters, nor does it auto fill the contact from the phone book (like it does when composing a new sms message). Anyone else having this issue?
