5-21 xda down again??

I thought I saw something about site maintenance, but that was only to the forums, not the whole site.

I read the other day that they will be down for a few days. Yes the whole site for maintenance and clean up.

This is not the planned maintenance that was sheduled for tomorrow PM(CET).

It is a server problem and sysadmin is working on it as I post this message.

Yes I know what you are referring to now. The problem of ROMs being hosted on XDA originally but now just linked to on things like Rapidshare.

However M$ are reasonable enough that they first of all make requests to the site Admins if there is something they don't like. A pretty co-operative relationsip has existed.

Actually, I have formed the impression that both HTC and M$, although we may annoy them at times, do appreciate that sites like XDA-Dev (and PPCGeeks) actually stimulate the market. Better that folk are buying your phones even i they muck around with them, than that nobody is interested enough to buy them at all.

Who knows, maybe we even give them a few ideas for developments in software. There is some evidence for this.
