at&t insurance question
 

i see a few people have the tilt here and my friend is gonna get one. he went up to a store and they said that they wouldnt insure a tilt has anyone else had this experience.

yeah apparently they wont let you have insurance on the "PDA" phones. only offering it on the blackjack.

Little late jumping in on this, but I used SquareTrade when I picked up my tilt. They seem to have a decent reputation.

"Safe Ware" is decent from what ive heard..a couple of my co-workers use em since we're all pretty much smart phone and ppc users..

but now a days speaking from experience with At&t .... insurance is not really needed.. all u need to do is show that ur handset is busted, and they'll replace it with no charge!

wow att the number 1 company and they cant insure their customers pda phones, what a company! sprint insures any phone, maybe u guys should give that some thought and do me a favor don't lose ur phone thanks! att, the most expensive prices, the worst cellular network, doesnt insure pda's, slowest data network, lol, give me a break...

whoa there... now you're overlooking one thing which is AT&T works wherever Sprint doesn't, and that's the rest of the world. you shouldn't be bashing on something you probably haven't experienced before, but i'll be having my AT&T service right before my trip to Jamaica this summer. and plus i'm a county employee which means i also get a 20% union discount off of AT&T's service after paying union dues. lol

prime - preach on! i get a discount thru my company as well Merck & Co.

mali - take it easy buddy.. lets be honest.. sprint sucks! so much so that they dont even push the nextel devices anymore! wheres sprint on the ratings scale? yea.. didnt think you could find them. of course they give u insurance.. they need to make money with something!

ive had sprint.. many moons ago.. but i had it... in fact my wife and i had nextel.. not only was i getting raped service wise, BUT their pricing was THRU THE ROOF! which led to a $200 per line early termination fee and honestly a better move!

now i have at&t and have been an avid user for the past 5years with no hic-cups! in fact i have the family plan with 5 users and unlimted txt and data on 2 devices for less than $250. can Sprint beat that? forget the insurace.. ill take the service, and prices over insurance any day!

You an employee for your local state's county as well? or other? I work for the division of welfare where i live at. and i get discounts off of more than just at&t's service. lol

no i work for Merck Inc, the pharmaceutical company. Amongst at&t we have other companies in which give us discounts and "perks"
