Battery % Indicator for Imagio

I hate the bar indicator that is defaulted on the Imagio because you cant tell how much is left unless you go into the notification section. How can I put a battery indicator where it shows the percentage. I have tried a few things already posted on various websites and it works, but then something else is screwed up. I.E. EV instead of 3G, email indicator does work anymore.

Has anyone found a solution that works for the Imagio regarding the battery percentage indicator without screwing anything else up.

Search for ArielBattery, low footprint (actually overwrites the Windows icon on the start page), low mem usage, works great....

If that doesn't work you could look for a custom taskbar from tsowen or gadgetfreak that catches your eye.

Yeah some of them work fine, but he doesn't like that they mostly have Ev or rA instead of 3G for the signal icon. Also they break the notifications page you get when you tap the top taskbar so if you like that don't use these until someone comes up with one that integrates with that.

They really don't work at all. The current TP2 battery driver puts the phone into airplane mode. If you unplug or plug in the charger, the phone crashes.

The tswowen taskbars for 6.5 don't show battery status, just a single icon. Etc.etc..

so yeah until somebody takes the time to build taskbars and a battery driver for this phone, it is pointless to try.

gadgetfreaks Bear-Bonz and GadgetROM Taskbars work fine with no need for a battery driver install. (In fact those break the battery meter) It will break the Notifications screen when you click on the icon taskbar up top, and the data icon reads Ev or rA (For Ev-DO rev. A) instead of 3G, but otherwise work great.

The GadgetROM taskbar has square icons not round. The Bear-Bonz is round yes.

I love "VistaHide Battery Gauge", it is just a thin bar across the top of the screen. Works in landscape mode also. Has worked smoothly since it was installed.
