If you think you may want the d=services in the future you do NOT need to delete. Just rename them. Like Depend95, put down abc Dpend95, and than save and reset and your set. When you want to enable it again just do a search for "abc" and you detele abc. Of course you can use any letters you want. |
Re: Get rid the TV icon, for good
The point of this is that none of us will use the service.

But I removed the icon on my wife's phone too, as I know she will not use it. I did a registry export (with Resco) and then nuked the key; kept the export in My Docs so if I need it - I can get it. |
Re: Get rid the TV icon, for good
I do have to say that I actually somehow was able to get it to work on my phone tonight in class during a very boring lecture and was able to watch "The Jeff Dunham Show" and it was live and very clear for a live TV service on a cell phone. I still don't understand how it worked and then now doesn't as I was told that I would be unable to use the service since I am still on an Alltel Plan.

Re: Get rid the TV icon, for good
Delete the value data in "HKLM\Services\MFLORSSI\Dll" (Leave it empty). It just remove the TV icon. The VCast Mobile TV is still avtive in case you need to use it sometime.

Re: Get rid the TV icon, for good
Hey guys. I decided to get rid of the TV icon as well so I deleted:
HKLM\Init\Depend95 HKLM\Init\Launch95 HKLM\Services\MFLORSSI Others said this worked for them, but in my case I deleted the keys and performed a soft reset, but the phone refuses to boot. It is hung up on the initial "htc" splash screen. Of course I can't get it to connect to the computer so I can't even reimage the device. Any ideas on ways to overcome this? Thanks. LT |
Re: Get rid the TV icon, for good
Fellas, I decided to just do a hard reset so I could get my phone working again. No need for other ideas. Thanks.
