Recognizes Imgio, Blocks Sync

I am trying to sync my Imagio with a new Windows 7 PC. I installed the drivers from Microsoft for theh Imagio, and all was fine. Then I lost synchrnism with a program, and now the PC recognizes something is there (get the first beep upon connecting), but will not run the sync program (net no second beep). The Imagio syncs up fine with my work Vista computer. I m also running webroot and F-Secure, and tried disabling to no avail.
