Unlocked HTC Imagio won't read T-Mobile SIM?

Hi, I have an unlocked HTC Imagio with a T-Mobile SIM....but it fails to register the network...? I've already set the Network to GSM/UTMS already and have checked that the phone is unlocked, which it is. I know that its possible to have this phone working on a GSM Network, but for some reason mine doesn't. Is there something I did wrong, or is there another way?
