Calendar Appointment Date Editor Window Messed Up

When I try to change the date of an appointment in the calendar, the date selector screen is white on white with no dates or captions on the buttons appearing. So if I need to schedule a multiday appointment, I can't select another day. If I try to directly type a number into the date, it won't let me and brings up the white on white date selector.
Any idea on how to fix this?
