Re: can't answer call
i have had the same problem. I just did a hard reset and for now it has not happened again yet. Hopefully it doesnt. I did have Hdtweak installed before that made it so the data connection would only stay on for a min after a weather update or something else that makes the data connection turn on. When i reinstalled cabs i did not install that one and that problem has not come back yet. That however would be opposite of what you think the problem is.
Would love to know the answer. |

Re: can't answer call
Ironicly this started when I started to use my data connection more now that I am forced to have it... I setup my email to be delivered on a schedule and thats when all this started... We should be able to use our data connection as much as we want without these issues...

Re: can't answer call
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but this is the one disadvantage of CDMA technology, no phone and data at the same time. (I believe Att even teases us in an ad). So it seems that the phone makes the data connection primary and doesn't allow the incoming call so as to not interrupt the data.
There might be a registry setting to make phone calls primary and interrupt the data. |

Re: can't answer call
Actually there is a setting to make sure if there is an incoming call to drop the data connection but what is happening is the modem isn't resetting (I guess thats the best term) so that I can pick up the call. The phone rings and I try to answer and it just hangs until the call goes to VM... Now that I don't have the phone constantly dialing up to the network to check mail it happens less but I'm paying for my damn data plan now that I was pissed about I want to be able to use it and not have it interfere with a freakin phone call...
