Data Plans For Imagio

I've had the $45 per month data plan for several years now (before the $30 plan was an option). My question is do I need to keep it for coorporate email or will the $30 plan allow me to sync coorporate email to my Imagio via Active Sync? Verizon reps keep telling me I "need" the $45 plan but I'm wondering what would keep the $30 unlimted plan from sycing with coorpoate email?

Anybody using the $30 data plan for coorporate email?

I also used to have the $45 plan for the same reason as you. I synced with my company's exchange server and was afraid that moving to the $30 plan, I would lose that ability. I switched anyway and as far as I could tell nothing changed except my bill was $15 less. I don't normally sync email but I do as needed on occasion with no problems. I use the exchange server exclusively to sync my calendar and contacts. I never sync either of them to a PC. I hope it works for you!

Thanks! I'm going to swtich and give it a try. I only sync email using exchange server and I get it as it is sent. I'm thinking unlimited data is unlimited data.

I was told by a Verizon rep that the $45 plan is only required for Blackberry. Don't know about that but my Imagio syncs with Exchange just fine on the $30 plan.

I have a related question that I keep getting conflicting answers to. Does the $30 data plan include text messaging or is that extra?

Text is part of your calling plan. Data is for email, web, etc.

By the way, I switched my data plan from the $45 to the $30 option and exchange email still working. Thanks to all who responded.
