visual voicemail problem

My problem is when I use the classic/standard MinWo home screen menu. When I have a new voicemail and select it from the menu item it dials the vm number. However when I use the TF interface it is smart enough to open the visual voicemail app instead of dialing since it is setup. Anyone come across this or a way to make the Windows voicemail menu item behave like the TF one?

What about removing the voicemail panel, I have not used verizon's vvm but with fusion when I have a new message the program comes directly to the front. If I want to access it when I don't have unheard voicemails then I go start->fpvvm. You can do this with titanium customizer.
