Hi, have you tryed the HTC Lexikon (Merge) Android ROM, there's also a RUU; please take a look and try it and post what happen. I just bought my Imagio yesterday and i must wait at least 1 week to be shure it's not deffective before start modding it

I didnt mean the key mappings... the actual keys on the Imagio suck big time, they go bad, having to replace device. HTC repairs them, but why keep dumping $ into it when they are going to break again? I am actually testing NAND on Touch Pro2, which is similar device but this one never broke keys on me, still working!

Here is a useful post:

First, does Haret have the Imagio as one of the devices (mtype)? If not you are going to need to use another device's mtype that's very similar. Find out if Haret supports the device first, I believe the guy that got the Imagio booting android had another device set on the default.txt... Checking ARM Linux - Developer - Machines the Imagio ID is 2514

Here is another good document HaRET/Documentation - Htc-linux where you can log certain stuff for example the ramsize, ramaddr, all that good stuff...

OK! So I got tired of having my Imagio sitting around with bad keys... and since it's no longer under warranty, guess what I did? I FIXED IT!

Yes, they keys are not that hard to fix after all. Here is what I did:

Opened the phone, unplugged the keys cable, the LCD cable and the digitizer cable. After taking 2 rubber strips which seemed to have a white dual sided tape I revealed the 2 ultra small phillips screws. I took them off and pushed the screws after I loosen them to snap out they keys on the front. I then realized the reason why the keys were bad and didnt work.

They have the metal "clipping" piece and on top of that what seemed to be a round transparent rubber piece that had shifted to the side and other positions other than the center. I was like "WOW, are you kidding me?" So what did I do?

I centered all 5 round rubbery thingies, on the keys I applied a very small amount of crazy glue and placed it back and screwed the two ultra small phillips screws back in place. I connedted all 3 cables back and closed the phone.

The phone now 100% works, clicks, buttons function and I have a feeling this will never ever happen again, since I superglued them where they should be.

I am subscribing to this tread and I will try to help as much as I can. This phone is nice (WITH WORKING KEYS) after all... Or I can sell it to a Verizon, MetroPCS or Cricket customer.... LOL

It's been a year, but, did you boot it on gsm or cdma?

On my research ii have found that the kernel must be compiled for the device with the processor driver and the hardware drivers in order to boot on this PDA, now i am learning how to compile the kernel driver for the Imagio

I think Topaz has the same processor, try talking to the folks of that device to see if this is true or not. Another thing to remember is that the Imagio is a dual network (cdma & gsm) capable phone, so sprint/verizon TP2 devices should have the other piece of the puzzle.

i really hate being stupid, but id just like to know exactly how far you guys are to getting android fully working on the imagio. i recently received one to play with, just for an mp3 and web surfing device and would love to use froyo on it. any help is totally appreciated. thanks, guys.

I would try the Lexikon's rom in my Imagio... But I don't know how to flash only the os, without the radio. How can I do this?? Anybody???
