Re: Whitestone Android It Booted!!!
What would it take for us to get someone working on it?

Re: Whitestone Android It Booted!!!
I have just found that many other HTC devices like TP2, Topaz have better progress on this. At least they have phone worked.
Great if we can make similar progress on Imagio. |

Re: Whitestone Android It Booted!!!
Would it be possible to use the information that already exists for porting Android onto the HTC Blackstone to port Android onto the HTC Whitestone (Imagio)? I was told that these two phones are the same as far as hardware goes.
I posted this question in a new thread named "Android on HTC Imagio" with a Poll, I wanted to start a new thread geared toward using the info that already exists for Porting Android onto the Blackstone at http://www.htc-android.com/search.ph...ll&author=&fid[]=5&sc=1&sf=all&sr=posts&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0& submit=Search Admin, if this is against forums rules or just not appropriate, please delete this post. UPDATE!!!!! Edvard, So, to the topic at hand. I read the following from http://www.connect-utb.com/ "So a new version of Android for your HTC Diamond, Touch Pro, Blackstone, Topaz and Rhodium is now available. There’s not that much to speak of but it includes quite a few updated apps and if you combine it with the latest rootfs, initrd and kernel image you should get a pretty decent experience. So, rush on over to the download page and grab the the latest version and change check out the change log. Then be sure let everyone know how it differs from the previous one! Enjoy!" This was written by you I assume on March 31, 2010. I read the part about a version of Android being available for the Blackstone. This is what caused me to ask the initial question based off of someone telling me that the hardware for the blackstone and whitestone were the same. I have just reviewed the hardware for both phones and they are NOT the same. The Blackstone does not have any buttons on the side of the phone at all. The Blackstone has 4 touch sensitive buttons on the bottom of the screen. Whitestone has 5 mash-able buttons on the bottom of its screen. So, I apologize for ever asking the question. I should have done my due diligence from the beginning. It is obvious that someone with an HTC Imagio that knows how to port Android is going to have to solve this problem.
