Re: Clean slate

So all this cab does is hid the "Call History" text, and "Calendar" Text, unless you actually have something new in your calendar/callhistory/voicemail/etc?

It doesn't make changes to the clock or whatnot?

Slack3r 12-12-2009 02:54 PM

Re: Clean slate

I just installed it, and yeah, all it does is hide the notifications under the clock, it doesn't make any other changes. Thanks, this goes awesome with my wallpaper now. :)

Same here. It didn't get rid of the call history and calendar lines either.

Re: Clean slate

Those are different cabs. See post 1 for the line removal. Thanks to Maxtee on all.

Nevermind .. :o I found the cab that allows you to have all three different clock formats on the homepage from xda through http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...=93449&page=15 (sensatti's post 147) . works great :thumbleft: it negates the clean slate but i just have to reinstall the clean slate afterward and it'll work.

BEAUTIFUL. I've been wanting something that does this for a really long time. I hate it when the screen looks all junked up.

you need a reg editor like total command or resco

Re: Clean slate

Try this:

1. Run SDKCERTS.CAB
2. Go to START\SETTINGS\ALL SETTINGS\TODAY select ITEMS tab and uncheck TOUCHFLO 3D
3. Run CLEAN SLATE (or replace the file, whichever)
4. Do step #2 but this time check TOUCHFLO 3D

Ok, I installed sdkcerts.cab, but how do i run that program? I dont have the cab for clean slate, just the file to swap. But it still wont let me do it? I do have PHMregedit, can I edit the file from there, if so how?

use your reg edit to copy/move the manila file into your windows folder and soft reset you should be good

Re: Clean slate

yea, i can get into phm reg edit and move around. im saying i dont know how to find the folders in the reg edit. Like, i made a folder in file explorer called new folder for the new manilla file and how do you navigate through reg edit to find that specific folder? HKLM>..........>.............>etc...?

m4f1050 01-12-2010 01:02 PM

Re: Clean slate

Try using TOTAL COMMANDER instead. My lines were gone with the CAB, I don't know what is wrong with yours... Did you disable the TOUCHFLO 3D from the SETTINGS\TODAY like I specified before copying the files? And did you REBOOT phone after copying over files and/or installing CLEAN SLATE cab??

skitty4gzus 01-12-2010 04:21 PM

Re: Clean slate

tried the cab again disabling tf3d and everything and the lines come back after i enable touchflow(even though it was nice to see the phone boot to 40% memory!!!!) so? I will try to mess with it later, but no go for now

What version do you have? 2.0 or 2.1? There are 2 versions of Manila TF3D on these phones...

Re: Clean slate

OK what gives? I installed clean slate from the first post, rebooted and got the 3 lines like others have stated. I then installed the no three lines cab from another post and rebooted. Nope still there. So I said screw it and was going to delete them. I went into remove programs and removed clean slate. It said I needed to reboot so I did. When it came back up everything looked normal. I remembered I still had the three lines thing to remove. When I tried to remove it I got an error saying it was not removed completly do I want to remove it from the list.

TCruz 01-13-2010 12:48 PM

Re: Clean slate

Looks like I needed to go the Total Commander route also. Works now and looks much cleaner. Thanks on the way to all that helped.

TCruz 01-13-2010 12:48 PM

Re: Clean slate

Just thought I would share. I can still tap in the area where they are suppose to be and it brings up either the call history or calendar. Funny!
