Multimedia device?

I was wondering if there are others who are using their android as their multimedia device as well? I found that I can watch an mp4 and it only uses 15-20% of my battery so I decided to use this as my multimedia device as well as my phone. With upcoming 3500mAh battery you should get a lot of life out of it. I use Meridian for the player and I use format factory to convert to mp4.

Re: Multimedia device?

you should use stock media player (go to album) and convert your mp4 to m4v and they will play flawlessly

Re: Multimedia device?

Does the stock media player auto adjust the size as need via black bars for adjustments to the resolution to maintain the aspect ratio? Also does the stock player play better than meridian? I have never used the stock player before and I was wondering if I should uninstall meridian and use it. Also what is m4v format and what do you use to convert to that format? I didn't see in the software that I use and it has quite a few settings.

Re: Multimedia device?

I won't consider android a multimedia device until someone releases divx support.

Re: Multimedia device?

I haven't had an problems playing back mp4's either. While I will be very happy when we can get divx/xvid support, until then I will convert my files to mp4. This is a good all around device. It can play audio/vidoe, game emulation and is a phone.

Re: Multimedia device?

my multimedia usage has been music through A2DP bluetooth and after using it for an hour and a half (would've pretty much killed my Touch Pro and almost knocked out my Pre) it only took about 20% of the battery, great multimedia device

I'm running the Sony DR-BT100
http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...52921665774414
they are awesome and yes i'd recommend them in a heartbeat, only problem is the bluetooth receiver on the end of them is thicker than they look in sony's pic
the S9s are nice but these are slightly less expensive but it seems the s9 is more stream lined and what not, i can't speak to audio quality since i haven't used the S9s
