This is the reason I used my premier upgrade for my wife's moment, and am saving my wife's upgrade for whatever bada$$ android comes out next; which can't be too long from now.
my point is that you would have the hero now. and theres no way the dragon comes out on sprint in january. there hasnt even been any word of it coming to sprint at all (although im sure it will, or a phone like it). If i were to guess, I would say the dragon will come out around 6 months from now. so that would be about 6 months of sticking with the hero until you can upgrade, compare that to another year with the mogul. I think the bottom line here is that the hero is easily a cool enough phone to keep you happy for a year. If I were you I would upgrade now without thinking twice.

i think this solves it pretty much. i have heard some rumors about google acquiring sprint though....dont know how true they are, but it would totally make sense with all the rumors floating around the new google phone.

im gonna call sprint and get them to apply a credit to my account real quick before i go pick this phone up, should help with the price too. :headbang:

so i just got off the phone with sprint....and was able to accomplish-

$50 instant credit to account
-$20 off my sprint bill for the next 2 years ($480 total)
So that is $530 in savings! Time to go get my Hero!

ok how were you able to get credits and such?

I've got a TP and am seriously considering upgrading to the Hero...

I replaced my mogul 3x in 2 weeks, and have replaced it about 5-6 times over its lifetime before the last 2 weeks of replacements. I just happened to get this guy named Landon, who actually knew the Mogul platform and all its issues, so he hooked me up. He was with the retention department, they are the only ones who can really do anything for you. Just call *2, and go through the menu and select the disconnect service option. that will take you straight to retention.
