has anyone used myxer.com for ringtones and successfully got it to work as a ringtone on the Sprint Hero? It saves as a .gcd file and when i click on the file in astro manager is says "File type gcd not found."

Well at least I thought I did. I do know now the browser is the culprit. For some reason opera wants to format the file into a .gcd file, which the Hero won't read. I downloaded the dolphin browser and went to myxer and it gave me the option to save it as .mp3 file, which will work on the hero. However, when I click "ok" to download, it starts but tells me "Cannot finish download. There is not enough space on the phone."

Maybe if someone knows how to make the download through dolphin go directly to the sd card, like Opera does, we can get this working. I'm going to search them market for another browser in the meantime....

dont use myxer , they charged me 33$ an they told me when u sign up them u give them the right to charge u

u can use myxer..save it as u were doing and it will go to ur music folder..pull up the music player and head to the song that u want to set as a ringtone and hit menu, it will give u the option to save it as ringtone
